THE INGESTRE TEAM

Tim Downes FBHS

timJoint owner Tim Downes is a Fellow of the British Horse Society, a List 1 Dressage Judge and British Dressage Master Judge, a 4* international 3 day event judge and a British Eventing Master Coach. He is a Chief Assessor for the BHS, a UKCC Assessor and an FEI Olympic Solidarity trainer. Tim has competed in all of the Equestrian Olympic Disciplines and has produced many horses from untrained to advanced levels of competition. He regularly conducts clinics in Ireland, Scotland, Hong Kong, New Zealand and in the UK. At Ingestre he takes Private lessons by arrangement, and is sometimes available to teach Group lessons on week day mornings for exam students. In November 2013 Tim was awarded the British Horse Society Trainers Award.

Andrew Bennie FBHS

Andrew is an international 3 day event rider who has represented his native New Zealand in three Olympic games, two as a rider, and more recently when he was a member of the Ground Jury at the Rio games. He has produced numerous horses to advanced level and is much in demand to coach event riders. Andrew is available for lessons by arrangement. See more about Andrew here.

Dan, from Suffolk has recently gained his BHSI. He has a wide range of equestrian experience, and is involved in Student training as well as being available for private and class lessons.

 

 

 

 

Melissa Troup BHSI

Melissa

Melissa who has recently joined us at Ingestre. Melissa coaches BHS exam students and riders of all levels, and brings a wealth of knowledge in the retraining of racehorses, having been based in Hong Kong for 9 years. She has competed BD, BS, BE, and most recently in the FEI World Dressage Challenge. Melissa has written 5 equestrian text books, and writes a current blog about generic coaching skills.

Chris, from South Wales is training for his BHSII. Chris runs the yard on a Monday and Tuesday, and is available for lessons from Sunday to Thursday.

 

 

 

 

 

Sam armarno BHSAI. Junior Coach

Sam, from Bermuda has recently gained her BHS Stage 3, Stage 4 riding and PTT and has completed her portfolio to become a BHSAI. She is available for lessons from Tuesday to Saturday and is actively involved in the Ingestre RDA goups.

Emma, from Cornwall has recently gained her BHS Stage 4 care She is available for lessons from Tuesday Thursday and on Sundays. Emma runs the competitions at Ingestre on a Sunday afternoon

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rob Lovatt FBHS

Joint Owner Rob Lovatt is also a Fellow of the British Horse Society, and a Chief Assessor. In 2010 Rob was made an Honorary Fellow of Lancashire University for his commitment to vocational training within the equine industry. Rob competes successfully with his own advanced dressage horses. Rob teaches at Ingestre Private lessons by arrangement, group lessons week day mornings for exam students. Group lesson Thursday 6:00pm all standards above Stage I. Rob also teaches clinics in various parts of the UK, and in Bejing and Shang Hai in China.

Alex Hulme BHSI

AlexAlex is Head of Student coaching
She prepares students for BHS qualifications and is available for private lessons.

CALUM ROBARTS

CalCalum is our principle receptionist, he organises all bookings and keeps tabs on everything to do with the administration of the yard. Calum is also the Resident Musical Director for Theatre Ingestre.

lornaResponsible for the preparation of dinner for students and their general welfare and running our Coffee Shop which is provided for students, clients, their families, and the general public.

 

 

 

 

ENDA SMYTH

EndaEnda from Ireland has recently gained his stage 4 riding qualification and is currently working towards his coaching qualifications.

 

 

 

 

Becca Mackenzie

Becca

Becca, from the Highlands of Scotland is currently training towards her Stage 3 and coaching qualifications. Becca’s main discipline is eventing but has also competed in dressage and showjumping throughout the years.
